2007 Clawford Fishing Festival.

The First ‘Nutrabaits, Clawford Autumn Classic' fishing festival started on Saturday 15th. September 2007.

Day 1.

'Open Rover Match' on JR's Lake.

Day 2.

The first day of the 'Nutrabaits, Clawford Autumn Classis' started on 'Gregories Lake'.

Gregories Lake produced 42lb. 8 oz. winner for the MAP Peterborough rod Alan Rowe who took a mixed bag of Golden Carp, Koi, Roach, Golden Rudd, Golden Orfe and Pink Orfe.

Alan shallow fished caster and worm presented down the margins over a pellet feed.

         

Day 3.

Alan Rowe consolidated his lead with a perfect 2 points after the two day match on the prolific 'JR's Lake'.

Drawing the same peg that he won off in the 'Open Rover Match' two days earlier, he notched up a comfortable victory taking Carp to 9 lb on a method feeder and corn combination to put a 107 lb. mixed bag to the scales.

Wednesday, 'Open Rover Match' on JR's Lake.

 

Day 5.

The 3rd. day of the Fishing Festival was held on Wanda's Lake in very difficult conditions.

Despite the windy conditions, Richard Lofthouse put together a very good mixed bag of Skimmers, Crucians, Roach and Perch to chopped worm and caster, for a winning weight of 25lb 14 oz. to put himself second overall in the standings. 

 

   

Day 6.

The 4th. and last day of the Festival was held on Clawford Lake, under wet & blustery conditions, with the hard fighting Clawford carp as the target.

Presenting Corn on a method feeder close to the island near the lilies swim, Alan Rowe consolidated his lead and the First 'Nurtabaits Clawford Fishing festival' winner by taking 70 lb 4 oz. of Carp,

The Oldham based match fishing duo, Richard and Dorothy Lofthouse had mixed fortunes. Richard consolidated his second place position with a third place with 35 lbs 8 oz, Dorothy crashed out yet another 50 lb. bag using her favored feeder and maggot combination.

         

Results. First Place. Alan Rowe, MAP Peterborough with 5 points (218 lb 6 oz.)

       Second Place. Richard Lofthouse, Gilders Tackle, with 8 points (156lb 14 oz.)

        Third Place. Ted Rowe, Clawford Vineyard with 10 points (139 lb 6 oz.)

       Fourth Place. Dorothy Lofthouse, Guilders Tackle with 13 points (134 lb.)

          

The winner of the first Nutrabaits Sponsored 'Autumn Clawford Fishing Festival, was Alan Rowe, MAP Peterborough netted himself a weeks holiday for two at Clawford-£125 and Nurtrabait prizes and Daily Pools.
