Clawford Classic Fishing Festival 2011.

Again, many thanks to Martin Cocks and his team, for running such a fantastic Festival.

This year 48 anglers fished JR,s Lake, Clawford Lake, Edwards Lake and Major Johns Lakes.

Rowe's Lake was used for the one day rover.

During the five day festival, 2,610.85 kg or 5,744 lbs 14 oz. were banked.

Despite the first four days of awful weather with the tail end of the Tropical Storm 'Alice' which hit the UK, all anglers enjoyed the seven days, with over £8,500 of prize money being paid out together with lots of packages of bait and tackle being donated by Martin Cox.

If there is enough interest in the 2012 Autumn Classic Fishing Festival, Martin Cocks announced, that he is up for running it again.

The 2012 Autumn Classic Fishing Festival will be held in the same week (3rd. Week) in September 2011.

To make the festival manageable and maintain the friendly character of the festival , the 2012 festival will be limited to 48 anglers.

Places will be reserved for anglers who took part in the 2011 festival until the end of December 2011. Then places will be allocated to anglers on the waiting list. As always, it will be on a 'first come, first served' basis.

The festival format will be five sections on each day from Monday to Friday.

Sunday will still be an Open Rover on Rowe's Lake.
