Clawford Fishing Festivals.

2008 FESTIVALS.

The Autumn Clawford, 'Nutrabaits Fishing Festival' will take place between 13th. & 19th. September 2008.

The prize money.

In 2008, for every angler taking part in the 7 day event, Clawford donates £ 50 as prize money. This year, there is no festival entrance fee.

Presently, with the number of anglers already booked, the match anglers will be fishing for £1,500 prize money.

We still have another 3 months to increase booking numbers, we still have a few units left.

Remember, the more anglers that take part in the festival, the bigger the prize money.

Clawford Autumn Fishing Festival 2008.

First Prize.

£ 525

Plus a weeks holiday in a Duplex Unit to defend their title in 2009.

Second Prize.

 £ 315

 

 

Based on 30 anglers taking part.

Every competitor will require at least two, Carp friendly keep-nets and barbless hooks.

Cat meat, floating baits or plastic/rubber baits are banned.

Most of the other rules revolve around common sense.

The prizes will be awarded on Friday night, in the bar at 21.00 hours.


2009 FESTIVALS.

Each year, Clawford holds two fishing festivals.   One in the Spring and one in the Autumn.   For residents only.

The Spring Festival will take place from April 11th. to 17th. 2009.

The Autumn festival will take place on September 12th. to 18th 2009.

Each festival will take place over a seven day period.

Festival days are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Sunday & Wednesday are open Rover days.

So please book well in advance to avoid disappointment.

PRIZES.

For 2009, festival entry will be £150 for each angler. For every angler taking part in the festival, Clawford will add a further £50.

Based on 40 anglers fishing the Festival, a total cash prize of £ 8,000 pounds will be fished for.

50 Anglers would be fishing for a total prize money of £10,000.

If we had a full house at Clawford the Anglers would be fishing for a total prize money of £ 14,000.

 

    First prize includes weeks Holiday for two in a Duplex Self Catering Unit to defend your title the following year.

A share of the Clawford £500 (minimum) prize money.

Plus Daily pools.

The Festival Lakes.

There will be Seven lakes involved in the Festivals.

Selection of the Festival Lakes will be made the day before fishing and will be selected from the following.

1.    JR’s Lake.

2.    Wandas Lake.

3.    Clawford Lake.

4.    Edwards Lake.

5.    Gregorys Lake.

6.    Fletchers Lake.

7.    Rowes’s Lake.

        Sunday & Wednesday we will be running an 'Open' or 'Rover' events. On two lakes.

                        1.    Rowe's Lake.

                        2.    JR's Lake.

           Each competitor will require at least two Carp friendly Keep-nets and barbless hooks.

       Floating Baits, Cat meat, Plastic or Rubber baits are Banned!


Festival Lakes Description.

          JR’S LAKE.

        This is the Clawford match lake.

        During March and September, bags of over 320 lbs. are common.

        Contains a good head of Carp, Roach, Bream, Rudd, Big Perch and Cat fish. Etc.

        WANDA’S LAKE.

        This will be the first time we have allowed Wanda’s Lake to be match fished.

        Daily bags of 200 lbs. are not uncommon.

        Contains Green Tench to 12.5 lbs., Bream to 11 lb., Roach to 3 lb, Rudd to 3.5 lb,

        Crucian Carp 3.75 lb., Chub, Ide and Barbel. Etc.

        CLAWFORD LAKE.

        This is the Clawford Intermediate Carp Lake.

        Daily bags of over 400 lbs. have been taken during March and September.

        Contains ‘a lot’ of Small to Medium sized Carp.

        EDWARDS LAKE.

        This will be the first time Edward’s Lake will be used as a match lake.

        Pleasure anglers regularly land bags of over 250 lbs.

        Contains small Ghost Carp, Koi, Green Tench, Skimmer Bream, Barbel, Roach, Rudd,

        Blue Orfe. Etc.

        GREGORYS LAKE.

        This will again, be the first time ever Gregorys Lake will be match fished.

        This lake can produce bags of over 125 lbs.

        Contains Roach, Golden Rudd, Gold Carp, Koi, Golden Tench, Golden Orfe and Pink Orfe.

        FLETCHERS LAKE.

        This will be the first time Fletchers Lake will be used as a match lake.

        Pleasure anglers regularly land bags of over 175 lbs.

        Contains small Ghost Carp, Koi, Barbel, Roach, Rudd and Koi Orfe.

        ROWES LAKE.

        Designed for Pole / Match fishermen.

        This lake will contain every type of fish contained on the Clawford complex.

        Roach, Rudd, Bream, Silver Bream, Green Tench, Chub, Ide, Golden Orfe and Carp. Etc.
