Clawford Lakes

Tanners lake. (2 Rods)   

The Specimen Carp Lake.

(The home of over 30 Clawford 30's and over 80 Clawford 20's.)

Tanner's Lake is about 4.25 acres with three islands and two large sunken islands.

The lake ranges from 3 to 12 feet with many underwater features including gravelled areas, shelves, holes and trenches. 

Tanners lake has a lot of purpose built swims covering the whole lake.

The lake contains over 130 double-figure Carp up to +39 lb. 

This lake is only available for fishing by residents plus a handful of local anglers who are members of the 'Clawford Carp Club'. 

This lake has a wealth of natural food and wild life and is considered to be a medium to hard water.

This lake has well over 25 carp over the magical 30 lb mark, 80 carp over 20lb. hence a minimum 10 lbs. breaking strain line is required for this lake.

During 2007, 21  30 lb. Carp were landed.

All the 30lb carp were Mirrors! 

The biggest tipping the scales at 36 lb.

None of the 12  30lb. Commons were banked in 2007!

The lake also contains 6 Grass Carp from 25 to 33 lbs.
